Last updated: October 6, 2026 · AccountableHub is a program of Kinbridge Global (501(c)(3) pending)
1. Who We Are
AccountableHub is a legal transparency initiative operated as a named program of Kinbridge Global ("we," "us," or "our"). Our mission is to make public legal and regulatory records accessible to everyone. We do not sell data or advertising.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to operate the platform:
- Waitlist signups: Your email address, used solely to notify you when early access opens. We send a confirmation email; if you do not confirm, your address is not retained.
- Contact form submissions: Name, email, and message content, used to respond to your inquiry.
- Alert subscriptions: Email address and the nonprofit EIN or search query you want to track.
- Server logs: Standard web server logs (IP address, browser, page visited, timestamp) retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging.
We do not collect payment information, physical addresses, or government IDs.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To operate the waitlist and send the access invitation you requested.
- To send alert notifications you explicitly subscribed to.
- To respond to contact form inquiries.
- To detect and prevent abuse of the platform.
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond the above.
4. Data We Do Not Collect
All content displayed on AccountableHub is public data sourced from government databases (IRS, ProPublica Nonprofits API). We do not create profiles of private individuals, and we do not store search queries beyond what is needed to fulfill alert subscriptions.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties except:
- MailChannels: used to send transactional emails (confirmations, alerts). Your email address is passed to MailChannels solely for delivery.
- Cloudflare: our hosting provider; subject to Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Google Analytics (GA4): we use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage (pages visited, session duration, general geography). Google may set analytics cookies and collect your IP address, browser type, and referring URL. You can opt out via Google's opt-out browser add-on or by enabling "Do Not Track" in your browser.
- As required by law or to protect the safety and rights of users and the public.
6. Data Retention
- Unconfirmed waitlist emails: deleted within 48 hours if not verified.
- Alert subscriptions: retained until you unsubscribe (each alert email includes an unsubscribe link).
- Contact form submissions: retained for up to 12 months.
- Server logs: retained for up to 30 days.
7. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Cookies
We use two types of cookies: (1) a session cookie strictly necessary for form submission security, and (2) analytics cookies set by Google Analytics (GA4) to measure aggregate site usage. We do not use advertising or profiling cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; blocking analytics cookies does not affect core platform functionality.
9. Children
The platform is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to This Policy
We will post material changes to this page and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
